Chestnut honey
Mel

Chestnut honey is collected in May-June from hives located in Upper Palatinate, Germany (397 m above sea level). The 664 colonies apiary is surrounded by native forest. Honey is a supersaturated solution composed mainly of sugars such as fructose and glucose, as well as proteins, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. It has moisturizing, cleansing and soothing properties.

Cistus leaf extract
Cistus Ladaniferus Extract

Wild cistus shrubs are cut in July-August, after the flowering season, in the Côte d’Azur, France (12 m above sea level). Aerial part (leaves, stalks) are manually collected with a sickle. Immediately after collection, plant material is submerged into organic olive oil and kept at 20-35 °C. After 7-15 days extraction is performed, plant material is manually pressed, and the extract is filtered through cotton and filter paper. Cistus leaf extract extract has a warm, amber, honey-like fragrance. It is well known for its potent antioxidant, repairing and healing properties.

Officinal lavender flower extract
Lavandula Angustifolia Extract

Wild officinal lavender is harvested with a sickle in the mountainous region of Préalpes d’Azur, France (1300-1400 m above sea level), in July-August, at the end of the flowering season. The plant extract is prepared as: 1:5 in organic olive oil at 20-35°C. After 7-15 days, the mixture is manually pressed and filtered. One of the most studied flowers, officinal lavender possess calming properties that make skin feel soothed and smooth.

Olive oil
Olea Europaea Fruit Oil

Olive drupes are harvested by hand in Liguria, Italy (9 m above sea level), in a 47 ha traditional olive orchard of widely spaced trees (≤100/ha). Trees are 50 years old on average and fruits are collected in October-March by combing, then crushed on a mechanical press. The olive paste is then processed to oil. Rich in vitamin E and polyphenols, olive oil moisturizes and helps to neutralize free radicals that cause signs of aging.

Propolis extract
Propolis Wax

Propolis is collected in Alsace, France (400 m above sea level), by hand (by scrapping from frames and walls of the beehives) from a 350 colonies apiary of Apis mellifera L.. It is then extracted for 20-30 days with 70% organic alcohol (1:10, w/v) at room temperature (20-25 °C). The resulting aqueous-water extract is filtered through through cotton and filter paper. Propolis is known for its antibacterial and healing action. It provides natural protection from cellular aging and degradation.

Safflower seed oil
Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil

Safflower is harvested in a field of 1 ha grown in Lot-et-Garonne, France (170 m above sea level). Flowers are gathered with the combine harvester in July-September. The seeds are sorted and pressed during the following spring on a 40 mm press. Oil temperature when exiting the screw press is less than 50°C. Safflower seed oil is a concentrated source of vitamin E and linoleic acid, a valuable Omega-6 fatty acid. It moisturizes the skin while providing a protective barrier.

Sunflower oil
Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil

The flower heads of sunflower are harvested at maturity when the bracts are yellow and brown in the Lot-et-Garonne, France (170 m above sea level). The harvest is carried out in July-September with the combine harvester on a surface of 1,3 ha. The seeds are sorted, stored and cold-pressed using a screw press. Sunflower oil is packed with unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins A and E. It helps smooth the skin and is noncomedogenic.

Sweet almond oil
Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil

Almond trees are cultivated in a 260 ha orchard located in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain (555 m above sea level). In June-July fruits are harvested with the reversed-umbrella, dried for 20 days at room temperature (20-25 °C) and cracked out. Oil extraction is then performed by screw press to preserve natural antioxidants. With respect to its chemical properties, sweet almond oil is a unique non-toxic, non-irritating, non-sensitising and non-comedogenic oil. Exceptionally rich in nourishing fatty acids, it is very skin-friendly and ideal for sensitive, dry skin.

Yellow beeswax
Cera Flava

Yellow beeswax comes from hives located in Baden-Württemberg, Germany (540 m above sea level). Hot water extraction is performed on site and beeswax combs are placed in a tightly tied cotton bag and boiled overnight at 70 °C. After melting and cleaning, the wax has a beautiful yellow colour. It is high in hydrocarbons, alkanes, fatty acids, fatty alcohols, and free fatty acids. Beeswax helps skin feel soothed from dryness without inhibiting its ability to breathe.
